I’m a retired pharmacist turned functional medicine provider. My most eye-opening experience was when I worked as a pharmacist in the hospital for the oncology unit. There I worked alongside oncologists and the entire health care team to optimize chemotherapy and drug therapy to minimize and manage unwanted side effects. I provided patients with detailed information regarding their chemotherapy regimen and played an important role in side effect management.

It was this experience that sparked an interest in disease prevention since I saw so many lives and families torn apart by cancer and other preventable illnesses. I believe that a healthy diet, a healthy mindset and joyful movement are vital to preventing many chronic diseases. I have written a book called Living Light to help you incorporate simple lifestyle changes into your daily life.
