is a pharmacist and functional medicine provider. Her most eye-opening experience was when she worked as a pharmacist in the hospital for the oncology unit. There she worked alongside oncologists and the entire health care team to optimize chemotherapy and drug therapy to minimize and manage unwanted side effects. She provided patients with detailed information regarding their chemotherapy regimen and played an important role in side effect management.
It was this experience that sparked an interest in disease prevention since she saw so many lives and families torn apart by cancer and other preventable illnesses. As a pharmacist, she saw a tremendous void that needed to be filled. She sees the value in medication therapy when appropriate, although she sees a greater value in healthy lifestyle choices.
This really came to light when she struggled with complications from her labour and delivery and had to have 3 surgeries postpartum. A healthy lifestyle and nutrition plan helped her to bounce back from the surgeries so that she could take care of her newborn son. She believes that a healthy diet, a healthy mindset and joyful movement are vital to preventing many chronic diseases. She has written a book called Living Light to help you incorporate simple lifestyle changes into your daily life.
Dipa now runs The Living Light Metabolic Reset program which is a 10-week program to help people lose weight, improve their energy, sleep deeper and improve hormonal health so they can love the way they look, wake up with lots of energy, and feel more happy and peaceful.
